CSC Art Guild presents ArtVenture
Nine Chadron State College students who are members of the Art Guild and two alumni taught workshops at the Girl Scouts ArtVenture Day in Memorial Hall. The collaborative venture has been hosted at CSC for seven years, according to Mary Donahue, professor of Art. The art pieces will be entered in a silent auction at a later date to raise funds for the local Girl Scouts. Some past items have also qualified for the state Girl Scouts auction in North Platte, according to Whitney Tewahade, a CSC graduate.

CSC Presents 'Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike'
The Chadron State College Theatre Department will perform "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike" by Christopher Durang Feb. 14-17, in Memorial Hall's Black Box Theatre. The Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m., and the Sunday matinee is at 2 p.m. The free production is recommended for audience members 13-years-old and up. Tickets are not required but theatregoers are encouraged to reserve seats at csc.edu/theatre.

The Big Event staff at Chadron State College conducted its inaugural Mini Big Event
The Big Event staff at Chadron State College conducted its inaugural Mini Big Event Thursday, Nov. 15, in Chadron. Eleven members of The Big Event staff, including nine students, graduate assistant Kelsey Brummels and Faculty Adviser Dr. Shaunda French-Collins, volunteered and completed five jobsites in three hours. The Mini Big Event served as a kickoff to the 2019 The Big Event with staff members volunteering at reoccurring jobsites, including Crest View Care Center, the Chadron Public Library and three Chadron residences.

Five CSC students to be featured in Senior Thesis Art Show
Chadron State College's Senior Thesis Art Show, "A Look Into the Sublime," in Memorial Hall's Main Gallery, will be open until Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. A reception featuring the artists will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30. in Memorial Hall's Lobby. The show features five seniors from Nebraska graduating in May 2019.

Nearly 300 students from 12 high schools in three states will converge on the Chadron State College campus Wednesday for the 28th annual Theatre Day. The schedule includes 12 workshops presented by 20 CSC theatre majors.
